Tennessee – The Tennessee Military Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Tennessee Army National Guard’s new United States Property and Fiscal Office warehouse at Smyrna’s Volunteer Training Site.
The 91,000-square-foot facility includes more than 80,000 square feet of modern, energy-efficient storage for equipment and clothing, along with 11,300 square feet of administrative space for offices and personnel. A 33,000-square-foot motor vehicle storage area for wheeled and armored vehicles is located next to Smyrna’s combined maintenance facility, improving accessibility for military operations.
“This warehouse greatly improves our readiness and centrally locates this key logistics hub for all our Army units,” said Maj. Gen. Warner Ross, Tennessee’s Adjutant General. “It’s a much-needed improvement and helps streamline our logistics support to our Soldiers.”…
