Victims’ rights group renews push for license plate readers in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A victims’ rights group is urging Nashville leaders to revisit the idea of installing license plate readers (LPRs) across the city, saying the technology is helping other Middle Tennessee communities catch criminals.

During Tuesday’s Metro Public Health and Safety Committee meeting, Council Member Jordan Huffman asked Tennessee Voices for Victims founder Verna Wyatt what Metro Council policies could do to better support crime victims.
