Goodlettsville commissioner proposes fireworks ordinance

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Goodlettsville commissioner wants to formally codify fireworks rules into law in the city.

Commissioner Jesse Walker said he is sponsoring an ordinance that would specify when and where fireworks can be used within the city limits.

According to Walker, the push for the ordinance came after multiple noise complaints for fireworks around the Fourth of July.

“I heard from many constituents after the 4th of July holiday who were frustrated with fireworks being discharged late at night and many days (or even weeks) after the holiday—disturbing neighbors trying to sleep and causing stress for pets,” Walker said on social media…
