Restaurant owners at BNA hope to remain amid ending of small, minority and women-owned business enterprise program

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A program at Nashville International Airport is being shut down to comply with a federal directive, airport officials say.

The Small, Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (SMWBE) program is ending in order for the airport to meet the requirements of grant funding due to a recent executive order.

The move leaves Nashville business owners who have a place inside the airport questioning what this will look like for them, while the airport works on launching a small business program by the end of this year…
