NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A scrapyard along the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville has officially been sold.
The 45-acre site on the east bank has recently been serving as a recycling center, processing scrap metal. It’s a landmark that has mostly stayed the same for decades while downtown Nashville has transformed.
The land is owned by Carl Icahn and currently home to SA Recycling.
According to the register of deeds, Icahn sold the property to an unnamed group of investors for $245 million.
