Man charged with homicide after body found at apartment in South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was charged with criminal homicide overnight after a person was found dead in a South Nashville apartment.

According to court documents, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to Casa Linda Efficiency Apartments after receiving a 911 call from Timothy Scarbrough, 61, claiming that a person had been shot.

At Scarbrough’s apartment, officers found a deceased man who was stabbed several times and suffered severe facial trauma.

Reports said during an interview with detectives, Scarbrough claimed to have taken drugs with the victim throughout the day, and said he believed the other man was stealing his drugs and reselling them back to him…
