Amazon delivery changes frustrate some East Nashville residents

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Residents in East Nashville are left looking for answers after Amazon told them the company won’t honor their special delivery instructions.

Adam Pizur, who lives on Fatherland Street, told News 2 he changed his preferences to have packages delivered to his side porch to make sure they weren’t stolen. But Amazon said that isn’t an option for their drivers.

He discovered the issue when he got an email from the e-tailer notifying him delivery workers would only drop off on the front porch of homes in his neighborhood moving forward.

Amazon told News 2 they’ve been notifying neighborhoods over the past month that deliveries will no longer be made to rear doors or side porches to protect drivers from hazards, including dogs, poor lighting and unpaved paths…
