NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man’s body was found in the Cumberland River and identified as 60-year-old John P. Lankford of Nashville, according to Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).
The Medical Examiner’s Office reported no signs of trauma, but detectives say the cause of death is still under investigation pending toxicology results and the investigation.
North Precinct officers responded to Lock Road at 5:20 p.m. on Aug. 28 after a citizen spotted the body floating in a creek. A Nashville Fire Department’s boat crew recovered Lankford’s body, according to MNPD…
