NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Nashville convicted felon was arrested Tuesday after officers say he was seen conducting a drug transaction in the Cayce Homes community, Nashville’s largest public housing development.
Dejuan Bell, 33, was taken into custody and had previously pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a 2018 case and was convicted of felony evading arrest last year. He was on state probation at the time of his arrest.
Detectives reported seeing Bell leave a Nissan Altima and approach a pickup truck to conduct suspected drug sales. When officers moved in, they say Bell ran and tossed a handgun. The firearm was later recovered and determined to have been stolen in a 2022 vehicle burglary on 6th Avenue South…
