WeGo Transit considers longer hours, more frequent service in Winter 2026 proposal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Nashville’s WeGo Public Transit is proposing expanded bus service and a new WeGo Link zone as part of Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s Choose How You Move initiative, a 15-year program aimed at improving transit and infrastructure in Music City.

The proposed Winter 2026 service changes include longer Sunday hours, more frequent service on several major routes, extended weekend service, and new evening and Sunday options on select lines. A needs-based free fare program is also under consideration.
