NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have charged a man for his connection to a stabbing that left his cousin critically injured Thursday night.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident happened in a wooded area of Hamilton Creek Marina on Thursday, Sept. 18.

A preliminary investigation reportedly shows that the cousins came to the marina to drink and hang out. At some point, police said the two got into an argument about money, which escalated to a physical fight.
The suspect —identified as 35-year-old Jorge Sanchez-Lopez— allegedly told officers that he stabbed his 31-year-old cousin multiple times after he was threatened with a rock. Meanwhile, witnesses reportedly told authorities that they saw the victim run out of the woods bleeding, which led them to detain Sanchez-Lopez.
