Man in gorilla costume, accomplice charged in downtown Nashville robbery: Police

Two men face felony robbery charges after allegedly assaulting and robbing a man in downtown Nashville, according to authorities and an arrest affidavit obtained by ABC News.

Xavier Rhodes, 18, and Sherrod Robinson, 22, were arrested after allegedly attacking a man near Nashville’s popular downtown entertainment district around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, authorities said.

The victim, identified as Eli Jordan Walker, told police that Rhodes, who was wearing a gorilla suit, put him in a headlock while Robinson, dressed in a Hawaiian shirt, repeatedly kicked and punched him before stealing his shoes…
