Woman charged with impersonating Nashville nurse accused of taking sedative from patient

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A woman is facing charges after allegedly impersonating a nurse at Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, Tennessee.

Marissa Jean Denton is accused of entering a hospital room at the St. Thomas Midtown Hospital last week and taking medication from a patient, an arrest record states.

Denton reportedly entered the room under false pretenses and used a plastic syringe to draw out about 4 milliliters of Propofol from an active drip attached to the patient. Propofol is an anesthetic and a sedative used to help people relax or sleep, according to Mayo Clinic…
