NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two teens were arrested in connection with what Metro police called a “critical shooting” last Friday.
An investigation by the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Non-Lethal Shooting Unit indicated that a 28-year-old East Nashville woman and her 26-year-old friend were walking from a home along South 10th Street when they were approached by two 17-year-olds at the Shelby Avenue intersection. One allegedly pulled out a pistol and demanded their things; the 26-year-old’s purse “was forcibly taken,” but when the 28-year-old resisted, she was shot.

Police said the teens ran away from the scene. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she reportedly underwent several surgeries.
Detectives with the Specialized Investigations Division TITANS unit arrested the alleged shooter this Friday on charges of especially aggravated robbery and attempted criminal homicide. As of publication, he’s being held in juvenile detention pending a hearing…
