Man accused of threatening students with knife on Vanderbilt University campus

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 40-year-old man faces charges after multiple people reported that he chased them with a knife on the Vanderbilt University campus.

According to court documents, around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Vanderbilt University police were called to the Wyatt Center after receiving reports of a man threatening students with a knife.

A man matching the description provided by the victims — identified as Kiracuras Johnson — was arrested a short distance away outside of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center emergency department.

According to reports, a knife was not found in his possession during his arrest. However, two victims provided written statements to authorities stating that Johnson threatened them with a knife. Officials said Johnson was previously issued a criminal trespass warning from Vanderbilt police…
