Woman charged with impersonating a nurse in Nashville had license revoked for multiple infractions in TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The woman who was arrested for impersonating a nurse in an attempt to steal medication from two Nashville hospitals this month had been a licensed, working nurse at one point in the state.

Actually, according to the Tennessee Board of Nursing, 36-year-old Marissa Jean Denton received her license from the Maryland Board of Nursing in 2016, which allowed her to practice nursing in 43 states, including Tennessee.

Denton moved to Tennessee from Maryland in 2022 and began working for LHC Group in Clarksville in 2023, according to the nursing board. LHC provides in-home healthcare services to patients.
