‘It took TikTok to get results’: Tennessee renter’s viral post prompts management to act

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Nashville renter says she spent weeks living in a construction zone after a ceiling leak at her Gulch apartment, and claims management called the issue a “building-wide emergency” while still charging her full rent.

Hailey Gilliland, a tenant at Modera Gulch, says she first noticed a water spot on her kitchen ceiling in late summer. When she reported it, maintenance initially came quickly, but she says the leak returned and worsened two weeks later.

“They started cutting more and more,” Gilliland said. “That’s when I realized this was a bigger issue than we thought.”…
