NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A 70-year-old Nashville woman is recovering from an emergency hip replacement after police say she was attacked in Downtown Nashville. Friends and advocates are outraged that the man accused of the assault was released on bond before her surgery.
Police identified the suspect as 35-year-old Pablo Arias of White Haven, Pennsylvania. It’s unclear why he was in Nashville, but authorities say he attacked the woman, who works part-time as a bartender at the Ryman Auditorium.
The victim, too frightened to share her name or photo, faces months of rehabilitation. Her friend, music row salon owner Rodney Mitchell, says she’s traumatized, and the community is frustrated…
