Motorcyclist dead after crash at Nashville intersection, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A motorcyclist has died following a collision that occurred at a North Nashville intersection Thursday night, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of Trinity Lane near Scruggs Lane at approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Authorities said a preliminary investigation indicates that a Mazda MZ3 sedan was traveling eastbound on Trinity Lane and entered a left turn lane. As the Mazda was turning into a parking lot, it was reportedly hit in the passenger side by a motorcycle.
