Skyrocketing property taxes threaten downtown Nashville businesses

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Downtown Nashville business owners are sounding the alarm as property tax bills soar, leaving some at risk of closing their doors. Metro Councilmember Jacob Kupin says new appraisals conducted over the summer of 2024 have sent some bills skyrocketing — in some cases by hundreds of thousands of dollars.
