Two-thirds of Nashville homeowners denied in property reappraisal appeals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Thousands of Davidson County homeowners say they’re being hit hard by this year’s property reappraisals, and most who tried to fight the higher values were denied.

The Davidson County Assessor’s Office confirms more than 19,000 informal review requests were filed after the 2025 reappraisal. Of those, about 6,400 (34%) resulted in a change, while nearly two-thirds were denied.
