Chilly mornings bring chances for frost in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — We are heading into a brand new weather pattern that includes some of the coolest temperatures Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky have seen in months.

Temperatures fell into the upper 30s in the Cumberland Plateau on Monday morning. Even cooler starts are possible Wed-Fri mornings with areas dropping into the mid-50s.

Frost can settle in when temperatures drop to 32-36. It tends to be short-lived and isolated. The more shade an area has near sunset, the better the chance frost could linger. Damage to plants is possible when temperatures reach this range…
