Tennessee State University’s Hale Stadium was filled with alumni and students Friday for the Fourth Annual HBCU Pop Out. The Aristocrat of Bands marched into the stands. Food trucks and retail shops kept guests occupied until rap icon, Jeezy, performed later in the afternoon.
Festivities continued the next morning at Jefferson Street for TSU’s annual homecoming parade. Several floats and hundreds of spectators lined down the historic stretch of road from 14th Avenue North to TSU campus on John A. Merritt Boulevard. The parade included the Metro Nashville Fire Department, local leaders, dance companies, high school marching bands and more.
