Preliminary report details deadly plane crash involving Grammy-winning Nashville songwriter

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – New information has been released in the plane crash that killed a beloved singer-songwriter from Nashville.

Brett James and two others died last month when their plane went down in North Carolina.

A National Transportation Safety Board report shows that the pilot was getting ready to land when witnesses say they saw the plane flying low near the airport and a school playground. They said the wingtips were moving up and down before the plane crashed behind a tree line.
