Expanded WeGo Bus Service and New Routes Coming to Nashville Residents January 4

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville will implement system-wide service changes starting Sunday, January 4, 2026. The Nashville MTA Board approved these updates on October 23, 2025. The changes are part of the Winter 2026 Service Changes and are funded through Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s Choose How You Move initiative. The goal is to improve public transit accessibility and convenience based on customer and community feedback.

Service hours will be expanded on several routes. For example, routes 3 West End, 4 Shelby, and 7 Hillsboro Pike will operate from 5:15 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on Sundays. Other routes, such as 6 Lebanon Pike and 34 Opry Mills, will have longer hours on weekdays and weekends. This aims to provide more options for early and late commuters.

WeGo will also increase bus frequency on key routes. The 3 West End and 52 Nolensville Pike lines will run every 10 minutes during peak weekday hours.
