Serial shoplifter accused of stealing $2,500 worth from Walgreens in latest offense

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A shoplifting incident at a Walgreens on Donelson Pike led to the arrest of a woman with nine prior apprehensions for theft.

An employee reported Amanda Simpkins was hiding merchandise in her purse and cart while shopping at the store Wednesday, a arrest warrant says. The employee told police she recognized Simpkins as a frequent shoplifter who often leaves the store without paying.
