Fur Baby Friday: Meet Walnut!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Humane Association has a “charming, playful, treat-loving pup” who is eagerly waiting for a forever family.

According to the shelter, Walnut is 4 months old, weighs nearly 35 pounds, and looks like a mixed breed with some Hound in him.

The NHA said Walnut and his littermates were rescued from a rabbit enclosure underneath someone’s house. However, he’s come a long way since then.

“At first, he was unsure of the world, but thanks to lots of love, patience, and the power of yummy treats, Walnut is blossoming into a confident puppy with a passion for playtime, snacks, and making new friends,” the shelter told News 2. “Now, Walnut eagerly trots up to the front of his kennel, hoping for a snack and some attention. His eyes light up at the sound of a treat bag, and he’s learning that people mean good things (like playtime, cuddles, and delicious rewards).”…
