A Hendersonville firefighter is on administrative leave without pay after being arrested on multiple charges, including the alleged assault of a law enforcement officer.
According to court reports, a deputy with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26. The deputy reportedly clocked a black SUV at 77 miles per hour in a 65, then saw expired registration and also reportedly sqaw the vehicle cross the dividing line multiple times.
When the vehicle stopped, the deputy allegedly detected the odor of alcohol coming from inside, as well as multiple open containers of alcohol inside.
