South Nashville AR-15 shooting suspect faces charges in both federal and state courts

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The 24-year-old man accused of firing an AR-15 across multiple South Nashville locations on Wednesday now faces federal charges, Metro Nashville detectives say.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office charged Marcos Palacios-Amaya with unlawful gun possession by a previously convicted felon, MNPD announced Thursday, Nov. 6. The criminal cases against him will proceed in both federal and state courts.
