Metro Social Services distributes free food to families in Nashville

Metro Social Services hosted a free food distribution and children’s coat giveaway at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in North Nashville to help families affected by the government shutdown.

The event was scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. but started early due to large crowds that gathered hours before the official start time. The distribution operated on a first-come, first-served basis with no registration or documentation required.
