Nashville Residents Urged to Prepare for Possible Severe Weather Friday Night

The Nashville Office of Emergency Management has advised residents to prepare for possible severe weather on Friday night. The National Weather Service forecasts showers and thunderstorms in Middle Tennessee on Friday afternoon and evening. There is a slight risk (Level 2 out of 5) for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes in Metro Nashville Davidson County.

After the storms, colder air is expected to arrive by Sunday night. Overnight temperatures may fall into the 20s on Sunday and Monday. Monday is expected to be the coldest day, with daytime highs in the 30s and 40s.
