MNPD: Suspect in 2024 motorbike murder arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A suspect wanted for his connection to a 2024 shooting that killed a man who was riding a miniature motorbike has been taken into custody, officials announced.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said Antwane Crenshaw, 24, was arrested during a traffic stop along Briley Parkway at I-24 on Monday, Nov. 10.

Crenshaw was reportedly wanted on an outstanding indictment, charging him with the murder of 39-year-old LaJames Shannon.

Authorities said Shannon was shot while riding a motorbike near the intersection of Fain Street at Fairfield Avenue on Dec. 7, 2024. Shannon was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. The MNPD added the men were allegedly involved in an ongoing dispute.
