Nashville Teen Charged with Seven Counts of Aggravated Robbery Amidst City-Wide Crime Spree

A string of robberies in Nashville has come to a close with the arrest of a 16-year-old suspect, Karon Simpson, due to diligent work by the local Violent Crimes detectives, alongside the efforts of their Canine and Aviation Units. Simpson was apprehended shortly after his latest target – Dragon Wireless on Murfreesboro Pike – adding to a series of hold-ups he’s connected to and for which he’s facing charges in Juvenile Court.

The investigation following the crime spree led to the linking of Simpson to multiple robberies across the city. According to a statement from the Nashville Police Department, Simpson confirmed his role as the gunman in all seven incidents, which included locations like Subway and Family Dollar, along with others, spanning from late October to early November.

Following his confession, Simpson has been hit with seven counts of aggravated robbery, implicating him in heists at various businesses, including a second Family Dollar store hit a day before another of their branches, and The Escape Game located downtown…
