Traffic stops in Mt. Juliet lead to multiple arrests in one day on felony warrants

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Mt. Juliet Police captured three people on outstanding warrants for felony crimes Thursday during traffic stops.

A Facebook post from the department said the first traffic stop happened after an officer witnessed a man run a red light on Mt. Juliet Road near Interstate 40. In that incident, a 39-year-old Smyrna man was taken into custody on a warrant out of Rutherford County for felony vehicle theft.

In the second stop, an officer took into custody a 27-year-old Memphis woman who was wanted in Nashville for two counts of felony aggravated assault. MJPD said she was initially pulled over near Pleasant Grove Road for driving a vehicle with a fraudulent temporary plate…
