Nashville Police Need Information In Hopkinsville Man’s Death

Nashville Police are seeking information from possible witnesses of a Thursday fatal accident that claimed the life of a Hopkinsville man.

Police say a 72-year-old Hopkinsville man, whose name has not been released, died after he was struck by at least one vehicle after he got out of a car that stopped along I-24. The man was reportedly looking for a mile marker to direct a wrecker to assist the vehicle he was in that had two flat tires.

Initial police reports indicate the driver of the vehicle said some people stopped after the accident, but then left the scene. Police say that after the crash, someone called in who thought they had hit a deer, but investigators do not belive the driver was the first person to hit the victim…
