Couple chased by knife-wielding man in Bicentennial Park, MNPD reports

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man is facing felony charges after police say he chased a couple through Bicentennial Park while armed with a knife, according to Metro police.

Officers responded Saturday, Nov. 15, to the area of Sixth Avenue North and Harrison Street after a report that two people were being chased by a man in a yellow shirt and blue jeans. Officers detained a man matching the description at Seventh Avenue North and Harrison Street. According to the officers, the victims identified the man as the person who chased them.

Investigators say one of the victims told officers she and her boyfriend were walking through the Bicentennial Park when they saw a guitarist who appeared frightened of another man and a woman. The victim told officers she asked the man to leave the guitarist alone, and the man then began chasing her and her boyfriend…
