NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department has completed its investigation into a Nashville shooting by a Drug Enforcement Administration agent that left a man dead, and they are forwarding their findings to the U.S. Attorney of Middle Tennessee.
Deshaune Jones, who would have turned 37 this week, was shot nine times on April 16, including three times in the back, according to an autopsy obtained by WSMV4 Investigates.
Family members said witnesses and law enforcement on the scene of the shooting on April 16 told them that Jones was not carrying a gun and was running away from the DEA agent at the time of the shooting.
