NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An approaching cold front brings our next chance for rain and thunderstorms early in the week.
The Storm Prediction Center has our southern counties under the GREEN color below in a ‘Marginal Risk’ (level 1/5) for any storm to reach severe criteria.
The severe threat is low but it’s there and the timing is not the best being an overnight event. Heavy rain and damaging wind look to be the greatest threats with some of the stronger storms.
FORECAST: Middle Tennessee & Southern KentuckyWeather
The timing for the initial band of rain looks to be late afternoon around 3 p.m. or so. The heaviest rain and thunderstorm chance is expected around midnight, especially for our far southern counties and going through very early on Tuesday morning. Check out the timing below.
Please be weather aware and stay tuned for updates as they come.
