SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Drug agents with the 18th Judicial Drug Task Force worked alongside the Metro Nashville Police Department to track and arrest a teenager following a months-long investigation.
According to Sumner County officials, the investigation began on Oct. 21, which is when agents called for MNPD’s Air One helicopter to help track a teenage suspect traveling in a white Ford Taurus, speeding at 80 miles per hour along Clarksville Pike.

Thanks to help from the helicopter, drug agents arrested the driver, later identified as 19-year-old Tyrez Johnson.
When authorities searched Johnson’s car, they reportedly found half a pound of marijuana and a loaded handgun. A member with the drug task force told News 2 that the gun will be sent off for testing, adding that it does not appear to be stolen…
