Alleged serial shoplifter charged with stealing nearly $3,500 worth of items from stores across Davidson County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An alleged serial shoplifter was taken into custody on Monday and faces nearly 20 charges, mostly related to thefts across Davidson County.

Shawn Anglin Jr., 29, was charged with stealing from multiple stores over the span of three months. According to an arrest affidavit, Anglin Jr. was identified in the following thefts:

April 2025

  • $299 worth of merchandise stolen from Lowe’s on Nolensville Pike

July 2025

  • $597 worth of merchandise stolen from Lowe’s on Nolensville Pike
  • $552 worth of merchandise stolen from Walmart on Hamilton Church Road
  • $1,100 worth of merchandise stolen from Walker Lumber on Thompson Lane
  • $200 worth of merchandise stolen from Nike on Cane Ridge Road

August 2025

  • $655 worth of merchandise stolen from Hibbett Sports on Mt. View Road
