NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An important step in the Interstate 65 widening project is nearly complete, and the Tennessee Department of Transportation said this phase of the project is actually ahead of schedule.
With more people commuting to Nashville every day for work, traffic can be a headache. As part of TDOT’s 10-year plan, they’ve been working on expanding I-65 to three lanes on each side.
“Our first phase was at the Kentucky state line. Our second was in Robertson County. Now, we are coming up close to Nashville … We are adding a lane in each direction — from Rivergate Parkway to U.S. 31 West or State Route 41,” Erin Zeigler, TDOT Communication Officer for Region 3, said…
