Teen brothers charged in deadly Antioch shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two teenagers have been taken into custody in connection with a deadly shooting in Antioch last weekend.

Metro police reported Therese Gaddy, 16, and Justus Gaddy, 14, were arrested Wednesday night at their godmother’s apartment on Hobson Pike. The boys were charged in juvenile court with murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Marek A. Winters.

Winters and his 16-year-old friend were found Saturday night shot inside a vehicle that crashed at a gas station. Officers were initially called to reports of gunshots at Willow Pointe Apartments on Hickory Hollow Terrace before their vehicle crashed at the Mapco on Bell Road.

Investigators believe Winters drove to the Mapco after he was shot inside his vehicle at the apartment complex. The victims were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Winters died. The 16-year-old victim is said to have non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators found multiple shell casings at the Hickory Hollow Terrace apartment complex, and Metro police reported it is believed the pair were at the apartments for a drug transaction…
