New Plan for ghost mall: RiverGate redevelopment moves forward

GOODLETTESVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Changes are coming for a “ghost mall” after the city planning commission approved updated plans.

Parts of Rivergate Mall’s property have been empty for a while, like the Macy’s store and parking lot; that’s where new plans for phase one, including a grocery store and additional retail, have been approved.

Originally, the developer, Merus, LLC, planned a hotel with 120 rooms, but now they want to trade that space in for more shops.
