Suspect charged with aggravated robbery, theft in Arbor Ridge shooting incident

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Metro detectives arrested 23-year-old Vontrell McKethan on Thursday in connection with the Oct. 30 shooting of a man on Arbor Ridge Drive.

Investigators identified McKethan as the person who shot a 21-year-old man during what police described as an attempted narcotics transaction. Detectives report McKethan retrieved a gun from the passenger side of a vehicle, demanded the victim’s belongings, and, during a struggle, shot the victim in the calf. The firearm had been reported stolen, investigators say.

McKethan, who has prior felony convictions for aggravated robbery, auto burglary, and theft in Sumner County, is being held on a $300,000 bond…
