Local Alert: Most Stolen Guns in Nashville This Year Taken from Residents’ Vehicles

In Nashville, most guns reported stolen in 2025 have been taken from vehicles. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) asks residents to lock their cars and secure firearms to reduce theft.

By late November 2025, 932 guns were stolen from vehicles in Nashville. This is out of 1,205 total guns stolen in Davidson County this year. About 77% of stolen guns came from vehicles.
