Artificial intelligence driven scams surge during holidays; FBI urges Americans to slow down before acting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As scammers become more aggressive and increasingly sophisticated, the FBI is warning Americans to pause and think before responding to urgent messages, calls or emails.

Fraudsters are now using artificial intelligence to impersonate loved ones, fabricate emergencies and create realistic online profiles, all designed to pressure victims into handing over money or personal information.
