Still no arrests made almost 3 years after deadly Christmas shooting on I-24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman is still waiting for answers nearly three years after her husband was shot and killed on Interstate 24 in East Nashville on Christmas Day.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 37-year-old Chris Spaunhorst was fatally shot along I-24 on Dec. 25, 2022 in a road rage incident.

The husband and father of five was reportedly on his way home to Greenbrier after dropping off his mother in Smyrna when the shooting took place.

Authorities said multiple gunshots were fired into the driver’s side door and window of Chris’ blue Ford F-150 pickup truck as he was driving along I-24 West between the Shelby Avenue and James Robertson Parkway exits, adding that the pickup truck came to rest along the median wall at James Robertson Parkway…
