State advances Music City Loop as Metro Council voices opposition

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The state seems to be moving forward with The Boring Company for the proposed Music City Loop, but the Metro Council is pushing back.

Although Nashville’s mayor and Tennessee’s governor have shown support for the Music City Loop, several members of the Metro Council are making their opposition official. Metro Councilmember At-Large Delishia Porterfield requested a resolution be filed on Tuesday, Dec. 9, allowing the council to formally oppose The Boring Company’s plans for a Nashville tunnel.

One organization said it is a step in the right direction but believes more can still be done.
