Once again, Tennessee was a top destination state for movers in 2025

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee continues to grow, and one new study showed that more people are moving to the Volunteer State.

Real estate agent sees stability ahead for 2026 in Middle TN

An analysis from North American Moving Group found that Tennessee — alongside North Carolina and South Carolina — have remained among the top states with inbound migration since 2020. This year, Tennessee ranked fourth overall for inbound migration. Idaho and Florida rounded out the top five.

The study found that quality of life was the top concern for movers this year and specifically cited Nashville as an alternative to “expensive cities such as Los Angeles or Washington, D.C..” Nashville was one of the five cities highlighted in the report as a city that saw some of the most inbound migration.
