Metro Nashville police give food to nearly 430 families, toys to about 1,500 kids

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nearly 430 families and about 1,500 kids woke up with food and gifts on Christmas Eve, thanks to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

On Wednesday morning, officers with MNPD were already hard at work.

MNPD began deliveries at 6 a.m. and officials gave 425 families four bushel baskets each and gave toys to roughly 1,500 children…
